JA Solar signs cooperation deal with TUV SUD

China-based JA Solar has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with testing and certification services provider TUV SUD.

The companies will cooperate on a range of product and system testing and certification initiatives, including the establishment of a TUV SUD-accredited testing facility at JA Solar's Fengxian facility in Shanghai.

JA Solar said it will establish a world-class testing center at its Fengxian facility, which will be qualified to conduct IEC61215/61730 testing.

TUV SUD has already awarded Testing at Manufacturers' Premises certification to JA Solar's in-house laboratory,

The companies will also cooperate on drafting standards for the construction and assessment of solar projects to ensure that the projects comply with international standards for safety and efficiency.
