My Client is one of the world's leading wind turbine manufacturers and are currently seeing a Health and Safety Compliance Manager
Job Description
This position will be liaising with the design and manufacturing departments ensuring that their wind turbines in the UK (electrical and mechanical components) are going to be compliant with company and industry HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities:
*You will have experience in Health and Safety with wind turbines or come from Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
*Responsibilities include supervising and training of employees.
*Have a proactive approach to work and delivery of projects and paperwork
*To ensure engineering changes and process changes are made to the wind turbines where relevant to the UK wind industry.
*To advise the company's R&D and manufacturing departments when a new turbine is in development and when new turbine parts for retrofitting are being developed so to ensure compliance to UK standards.
*Carry out compliance audits on the turbines and ensure all parts and turbines are compliant with legal H&S requirements and best practice.
*To work with the HSE where necessary for positive and productive outcomes and to ensure that all of my clients wind turbines in the UK have no failings.
*To put forward engineering change requests and ensure that the progress of these requests are closely monitored for
*To correspond with senior managers regarding failings or delays in projects and to suggest how these failings or delays can be rectified.
*Be willing to have some international travel and flexible to work around the UK
This is a unique role in which there is no other in the market. It will suit someone who has experience with HSE (NEBOSH certificate) and with a background in Engineering.
