There is currently an opportunity to work on a range of offshore wind projects within the European market as a Micro-siting engineer for a large developer.
You will have previous experience in layout optimization of wind farms, ideally including offshore elements ie. experience in Metocean data analysis and wave modelling. The position will require good knowledge of fluid mechanics, good programming skills and knowledge of the existing wind farm simulation and modeling software. You will also provide support with these results for the economic modelling and analysis and so will have an understanding of the connection of these responsibilities.
For this, you will have achieved a qualification in a relative area eg. Physics, Meteorology or Geophysics. The position will include working with other departments in order to select and develop new sites using modeling and simulation to validate these choices. It is important that you are able to work independently as well as in teams.
